Travel Arrangements

Most of you will be responsible for purchasing your own airline ticket to and from your study abroad destination. On some UConn programs, round-trip airline tickets are included in the price of the program, and group flight arrangements are made for you by the Study Abroad Office. Some third party programs will include airline tickets as part of the cost. Check the budget sheets on your program brochure to see what applies to you.

It is important that you arrive on the date indicated in your acceptance packet. If you cannot arrive on that date, you must inform the Study Abroad Office immediately in writing explaining why you cannot arrive on the designated date.

If you are not on a group flight and purchase your own ticket, we strongly advise you to purchase a fully-refundable ticket, as the Office of Study Abroad will not reimburse you for tickets should a program be cancelled or should the dates of a program be changed.
